Three Chinese Fortune 500 Companies Offer Support for CCZU

  On December 9th, Jiangsu provincial government and “big three” petro-chemical corporations in China signed an agreement on joint efforts in supporting the development of Changzhou University. Governors of Jiangsu Province, Deputy CEO of Sinopec Group, Deputy CEO of China National Petroleum CorporationCNPCand Deputy General Manager of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) attended the signing ceremony. The mayor of Changzhou, the Deputy Secretary General of Jiangsu provincial government, the top leadership of CCZU, the heads of related departments of Jiangsu provincial government, the sub-companies of the big three, teachers’ and students’ representatives also attended the ceremony.

 
  Before the signing ceremony, Governor Li Xueyong met with the top management of the big three. On behalf of the government, the Governor expressed his thanks to the three companies for their consistent support for Jiangsu. The petrochemical industry is the pillar of national economy and Changzhou University has maintained close relationships with petrochemical companies since the day it was founded. He believes that the agreement will further strengthen the ties between CCZU and the big three, and promote scientific research at CCZU and innovation at oil companies.
 
  In his speech, Prof. Shi Guodong, Party Secretary of CCZU, expressed his sincere thanks to all the companies and government departments who have offered generous support and assistance for the development of Changzhou University. He noted that the Agreement will set CCZU on a fast track, and the university will play an active role in promoting key project and enhancing the integration of university, corporation and government.
 
  Dai Houliang, Senior Deputy CEO of Deputy CEO of SINOPEC, delivered a speech on behalf of the big three petrochemical companies. He acknowledged the contributions CCZU has made to the growing of the petrochemical industry in China and hoped that the joint efforts of university, government and companies will upgrade the petrochemical industry in China, inspire more innovation in the companies and advance the research at the university.
 
  In his closing speech, Li Yining, Deputy Secretary General of Jiangsu government, expressed his confidence in a promising future of Changzhou University with the joint support of company and government.
