National Flag-raising Ceremony Held for 70th Anniversary of PRC

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, on September 29, Changzhou University held a national flag-raising ceremony in the Square of Excellence. Nearly 3,000 people attended the ceremony, including leaders of Changzhou City and Changzhou University and freshmen of grade 2019.


In his address, Prof. Chen Qun, CPC Party Secretary of Changzhou University, noted that in the past 70 years, under the correct leadership of the Communist Party of China and with the joint efforts of the people of all nationalities, China has leaped from a poor and weak country to the second largest economy in the world and made remarkable historical achievements. He hoped that young students aim high and contribute more for national rejuvenation in the new era, and inject new strength into the realization of the Chinese dream. He also noted that all educators should bear in mind the initial mission of training socialism builders and successors with all-round development and to train more talents in support of the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the socialism system.
