Welcome Ceremony Held for New International Students

On the 23rd of October, Changzhou University held a Welcome Ceremony for new international students at Wenzhang Building. President Jiang Juncheng, Vice President Xu Shoukun, Deans and Directors of related departments, attended the ceremony to welcome the arrival of over 230 new international students. The ceremony was chaired by Vice President Xu.


In his welcome address, Prof. Jiang Juncheng, President of Changzhou University, hoped that new students will acquire more knowledge and skills, and learn to speak good Chinese. In the following years, students should dream big and realize their dreams. Prof. Chen Ying, Dean of Zhou Youguang School of Languages and Culture noted that all new students should bear in mind the university motto of responsibility, and pursue excellence and grow into a better self.


Representatives of senior students remarked that studying in China means opportunities and challenge. All new students need to quickly adapt themselves to the new life at Changzhou University and work hard for their future.  Representatives of new students echoed that they will make full use of their time and set sail for the future. At the ceremony, senior students pinned University badges for new students, extending warm welcome and congratulations.


After the ceremony, three lectures on traffic safety, regulations of entry and exit and anti-drugs were given by officers of Wujin Police and Public Security Bureaus in order to help new international students get familiar with Chinese laws and regulations. More lectures and activities will be organized for the orientation of new students.
