The Changzhou University campus has three main dining halls for students and teachers to select from; the Dining Hall #1, the Dining Hall #2 and the school Café.You must have a campus card that has money charged on it in order to eat at these facilities.They do not accept cash. The price of a meal varies depending on what you order, but on an average the price is between 5-10 RMB. Forks and knives are not available so be prepared to use chopsticks.

Dining Hall #1 has 3 floors.The first floor provides an extensive menu including Sichuan dishes, noodles, fried rice, hot pots, etc… Because dishes are ordered, you will need to know some Chinese or have someone help you order dishes.Preparation time is relatively fast, but keep in mind the food is not ready-made. The second floor serves a variety of ready made dishes.The third floor is the teachers’ dining hall which serves ready made dishes in a more low-key environment.In addition, the third floor has private rooms which offer service similar to a normal private restaurant.

Dining Hall #2 offers ready-made cafeteria style dishes on both the first and second floors.These include common Chinese meat and vegetable dishes, noodles, dumplings, and breads.This is a convenient option for those who do not speak Chinese.
