Green Transformation and Development in the Yangtze River Economic Belt in China

Date: June 2 – June 15, 2026
Venue: Changzhou and nearby cities (Yangtze River Delta region)
Program Introduction:
This summer school introduces young talents to the green transformation of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, with a special focus on Changzhou. Through lectures, activities, and field visits, participants will deepen their understanding of academic knowledge, industry frontiers, and Chinese culture in the context of lowcarbon transition.
Academic Module: Experts and entrepreneurs explain the principles of green transformation, carbonenergy systems, and policies driving sustainable development in the Yangtze River Economic Belt. Topics include China’s green industries, highquality development strategies, and technological innovations.
Cultural & Field Module: Visits to Changzhou and other Yangtze River Delta cities provide firsthand insights into lowcarbon development and green practices. Participants will explore renewable energy projects, ecoindustrial parks, smart urban planning initiatives, and cultural heritage sites, gaining a deeper appreciation of how green development integrates with local culture and economic growth.

- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or postgraduate student OR a young researcher holding a master’s or doctoral degree
